Healthcare Redesign is a consulting firm that specialises in healthcare innovation, lean thinking in healthcare education and redesign. We use sustainable redesign principles.
Redesign offers an evidence-based approach to map, evaluate and refine the patient journey in healthcare, to meet demand and to ensure that processes implemented are safe, efficient and cost-effective.
The five main redesign steps
Redesign is combined with Lean thinking methodology embedded into each stage of the process in order to improve the patient’s healthcare journey.
Improving the patient’s healthcare journey
- More timely access to care – e.g. shorter waiting times for outpatient appointments, surgical procedures.
- A better patient and carer experience
- Improved use of existing hospital resources
- Improved work life balance for clinicians
Improving patient care
Redesign has significantly improved patient care and hospital performance around Australia and internationally.
Healthcare Redesign partners with clients, clinicians and management to develop agreed strategies and timelines for engagement that will achieve early and optimal impact. Concurrently we work with your data management team to identify existing and potential markers and indicators that can be used to monitor and evaluate the impact of changes made and changed / improved outcomes for patients.
This methodology can also be applied to service areas within health such as supply departments, human resources and pathology/radiology to reduce waste and improve flow.
Our goal is to help your staff institute redesign and lean management processes in ways that resonate with existing organisational philosophies of work. A key contract outcome for Healthcare Redesign is to imbed sustainability and capacity.
